We are thrilled to announce that our own nurse Paula Young, BS, RN, CLO/A, is a 2018 Women of Influence Honoree! Her award was presented at the sixth annual Women of Influence Luncheon and Award Ceremony at Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA on May 9th.
Paula was chosen by an independent panel of judges who selected 28 women from the Greater Lehigh Valley as Women of Influence honorees. Judges were asked to evaluate nominees based on their experience, integrity, leadership, and accomplishments.
Paula’s dedication to patient comfort and satisfaction as well as her steadfast commitment to continued education and advanced training in aesthetics is what brings her to the forefront of her industry. Paula started a podcast for Young Medical Spa® entitled “It’s a Young Thing” to help educate consumers about aesthetic medicine while raising awareness for other vital issues in the community, such as wellness and mental health. This highly informative and engaging podcast explores every possible aspect of cosmetic medicine, from frequently asked questions to new technologies, using accessible language in an easy, relatable manner. “The goal is to help listeners feel at ease and comfortable exploring services or treatments,” says Paula. “We want to help people achieve their best self, and to not be intimidated by aesthetic medicine or scared away by misinformation.”
Paula brings many achievements to her work at Young Medical Spa. A registered nurse, certified laser operator/aesthetics, and director of public relations and marketing for Young Medical Spa, Paula also serves on the Faculty of THE Aesthetic Show™ in Las Vegas, NV, an annual multidisciplinary medical education conference for the ever-advancing aesthetic industry and the Medical Advisory Board of the Aesthetic Business Institute. Paula has also received acclaim as “Aesthetic Nurse of The Year,” at the 2016 THE Aesthetic Awards™ at THE Aesthetic Show in Las Vegas, and as a “Top 10 Nurse” from the 2016 Aesthetic Everything Awards.
